Search underway for plane crash survivors in eastern Thailand

BANGKOK, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) — Rescuers have been searching for survivors after a small passenger plane crashed Thursday in Thailand’s eastern province of Chachoengsao, local media reported.
The Cessna Caravan C208 aircraft, flight number TFT 209 of the Thai Flying Service, lost contact with the Suvarnabhumi Air Traffic Control Center in the capital Bangkok before reportedly crashing at around 3:18 p.m. local time while heading to the southeastern Trat province. ■
